Vital to monitoring the quality of Early Years provision is understanding the nature of how children of this age learn and how the impact of teaching and provision appears in practice.

Within the context of the ‘otherness’ of Early Years is the importance of being able to identify how children demonstrate this and being able to consider the quality of this learning when evaluating the impact of provision.
