Juilliard introduces its approach to learning via a music based lesson to a whole school staff. As an introductory CPD session develops teachers are exposed to creative choice making, igniting curiosity, making personal connections and engaging with masterworks.
Juilliard curriculum specialist, Stephen Dunn, runs whole staff CPD prior to the school. As the session develops, teachers practise the process pupils will follow. Here they look at what makes sounds fit together and hoe you can disrupt this. Working in teams,, Stephen offers encouragement but allows the teachers to take a lead.
