The film centres on how teachers adjust the continuous provision in response to an interest expressed by a child, in porridge.

Filmed just a few weeks into the school autumn term, the staff are encouraging some of the basics in the prime areas, like turn taking. Essentially every activity is to promote a curiosity and, love of learning and is subtly resourced to keep it focussed on these basics. Note that some of the 'staples' like mark-making provision have deliberately not been placed near the activities whilst these basics are instilled.
